So I found this great workout while researching some new workouts. As we all know by now is, mixed martial artists lift differently than body builders. It’s all about muscle endurance not muscle size.
The Team Quest Grappling Workout
6 Sets – 60 Second Rest
Bent rows x8
Upright rows x8
Military press x8
Good morning x8
Split Squat x8
Squat push press x8
Straight Leg Deadlift x8
The first two sets are pretty easy but then you’ll really test your muscle endurance for the next 4 sets. My weight routine now is:
day 1 – grappling workout
day 2 – chest, tri, abs
day 3 – grappling workout, abs
day 4 – biceps, back, leg
So we’ll see how this workout turns out with my training.

This workout is killer. I did it with just the barbell the first time and I could barely finish the workout.

This looks like a pretty intense training–well-suited for MMA.

@StrongandFit
It’s almost perfect for MMA. I should be doing it more, I haven’t done it in a while.

Dave,
7 rounds? You are a BEAST. I feel like I’m dying by the 4th set.
