It’s summer, got new job and everyone is home from college. What does that equal to? Well, less training. Last week I didn’t train at all and the prior weeks I trained once or twice. So I’ll say within three weeks I trained 4 times. In addition to the lack of training, my gym membership expired.
So What?
My cardio took a big hit by the lack of training and working out. I was gassed after one round of padwork, it was quite sad. So I was thinking about ways I could supplement going to MMA classes to keep my cardio at a good level.
This is where creativity comes in, I’m going to start jogging and swimming when I can. Even one jog or swim a week is better than nothing. Also, why not have fun with it? Get some friends play a game of football, ultimate frisbee, whatever.
So I’ll try to implement them things and see how it works out for me.

You’re absolutely right here. I too noticed a big fall in my training during the holidays, and i’m only just getting back to the sort of level i was 2 months ago. I’ve found skipping really does help!

One 4 minute Tabata interval of squats follow by another 4 minutes of Tabata pushups will keep anyone in great condition.
