Review

The first pair of gloves I purchased when I started training were them cheap boxing gloves you’d find at your local sports store. The velcro loop broke within a few months. It was a big waste of money.

Someone I trained with brought in a pair of Heavy Hitter gloves and I thought to myself, I had to get them.

I saved up 80 bucks, went on ringside.com and bought myself a pair. These bad boys are 20oz, so it has plenty of protection for the hands. Protection isn’t the reason I bought them though, they helped me build shoulder strength and punching power.

These gloves are great for sparring, bag work, pad work and mitt work. After using these for a while, you’ll see that keeping your hands up is real easy when using 4oz MMA gloves.

Buy yourself a pair of these @ RingSide

    Might actually check these out.

Right now, we only do relatively light sparring at my gym with MMA gloves. Most of us have the Fairtex ones with pretty thick padding on the knuckles so it works out but we still can’t really go full on.
