MMA

If you know abut RSS technology, I apologize. It is said that only a percent of internet users do not realize the power of RSS feeds.

So imagine the ability to read all the headlines and news of multiple MMA blogs without having to visit each site individually. Well it is possible with RSS technology. With RSS, which allows websites and blogs to feed their news and content in real time to RSS readers. In other words, you can view information that’s automatically updated without having to visit each webpage.

I need a RSS reader

There are applications you can download and actually use to read these RSS feeds but for gmail and mozilla firefox users you don’t have to download anything. There are many many other RSS readers out there but I’ll just be covering iGoogle and Firefox Live Bookmarks.

When you have a gmail account you automatically have an iGoogle page. Just go here: http://www.google.com/ig

Just login with your gmail information. The iGoogle interface can read RSS feeds which will automatically update. Also Firefox has an option for live bookmarks which will act as an RSS feeder.

Uhh, none of this makes sense

Today is your lucky day, I’ve created 2 video tutorials. One showing you how to add feeds to your iGoogle page and the other the usage of Firefox’s Live bookmarks.

Choose Your Destiny

  1. iGoogle
  2. Mozilla Firefox Live Bookmarks

So if you use either one of these methods, you’ll be able to look through which headlines on all the blogs/sites you subscribe to and see the ones that look interesting. It’s a great time saver and this tutorial can be applied to ANY site that has RSS.
